The Western History Association
The study of western civilization has grown tremendously at the University of Colorado Boulder. In fact, the Benson Center has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants for events that focus on the Western tradition. Many of these events are centered around western history and culture. The earliest examples of this type of research are documented in The Legacy of Conquest, a 1987 study by Patricia Limerick, and It’s Your Misfortune and None of My Own, a 1991 study by Richard White.
